Pay

$3,800–$4,000 per day.

Schedule and Coverage

  • 13-week assignment starting 10-12-26
  • Scheduled shifts with no call
  • Standard 5-day, 8-hour shifts (08:00 – 17:00)

About the Facility

Acute-care hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with blood disorders and various cancers, including administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other treatment modalities.
  • Provide comprehensive care: develop and implement individualized treatment plans, manage side effects, and coordinate care with other specialists.
  • Consult with other physicians and healthcare-team members on complex hematological and oncological cases.
  • Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management to support informed decision-making.
  • Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and provide ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

  • Strong understanding of hematology/oncology principles, treatments, and procedures.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication of complex information to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Expertise in performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Fellowship training in hematology/oncology.
  • Board certification in hematology and/or oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).
  • Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license.
  • At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
