About the role
The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is seeking a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist to fill 12-month posts arising from maternity leave. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and enthusiastic department with potential for teaching, research, and quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide anaesthetic care for surgical procedures
- Assist in the management of obstetric patients requiring anaesthesia
- Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs
- Participate in research activities related to anaesthesia
- Collaborate with colleagues in pain medicine and regional anaesthesia
Requirements
- Full GMC Registration
- License to practise
- Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
- UK-trained candidates must have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview
- Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors must have the substantive consultant post awarded before applying
- Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training
