About the role

NP or PA Locums position in Nowata, OK.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; weekends and holidays as needed, with days varying based on department needs.
• Shifts are 8‑ or 10‑hour days.
• Initial contract is 90 days with potential for extension and permanent opportunity.
• Patient ratio: 16‑18 patients per 8‑hour day; 20‑22 patients per 10‑hour day.
• Expected patient volume after orientation: 18‑22 patients per day.
• No call, no float, no overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, acute, and drop‑in primary care to adult and pediatric patients of all ages.
• Manage an expected patient load of 18‑22 patients per day after orientation.
• Work independently and remain flexible to meet department needs.

Requirements

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Active Oklahoma medical license (no exceptions).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Ability to treat adult and pediatric patients across the age spectrum.

Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred but not required.
• Rural or tribal health experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently and adapting to changing schedules.
