About the role

The Locomotive Switchman/Conductor is responsible for safely operating locomotives to switch cars between tracks, ensuring efficient train movements, and performing other related duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate locomotives to switch cars between tracks
• Ensure safe and efficient train movements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass a drug test
• Must pass a background check

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in rail operations
• Knowledge of rail safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
