The Role at a Glance

The Local Planner coordinates and dispatches daily local jobs, ensuring efficient crew assignments, paperwork accuracy, and communication with teams and customers. This role supports operations through morning dispatch, equipment and uniform compliance, labor management, and data updates.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Coordinate daily operations by working closely with customers, agents, sales staff, and internal teams to ensure moves are executed efficiently and on time.
  • Manage morning dispatch and crew assignments, playing a key role in the day’s logistics.
  • Review paperwork with crews and ensure compliance with uniform standards and equipment cleanliness.
  • Host daily huddles, proofread documentation for auditing, and maintain strong communication with crews and customer service coordinators.
  • Monitor alerts and address any non-conformance issues as they arise.
  • Keep current data related to quality, claims, and safety.
  • Help support company standards and performance goals.

Qualifications, Skills, And Functional Job Requirements

  • Education/Work Experience/Certificates: Two to four years of experience in the moving and storage industry, Solid understanding of the geographical area, Knowledge and understanding of truck sizes, types, and functions, Fluent in English (written and verbal) with the ability to converse in Spanish
  • Core Skills: Customer Focused, Collaborative, Communicative, Resilient, Strive for inclusion of others
  • Functional Job Requirements: Must be able to regularly move around the office, Must be able to go back and forth between the office and the warehouse in varying temperatures, Must be able to physically check/inspect trucks, Must also be able to operate a computer and process paperwork for an extended period of time. While this is a standard in-office Monday to Friday role, you will be required to work one Saturday per month. Additional Saturdays may be required during the summer.
