About the role
The City Planner is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive plans that guide urban development and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update citywide plans and policies
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to gather input and feedback
- Prepare and present project proposals to the public and decision-makers
- Evaluate and analyze data to inform planning decisions
- Oversee the implementation of approved plans and projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in GIS software
Qualifications
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal planning regulations
- Experience with public engagement and outreach
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
