Local Event Producer & Promoter (freelance, commission only)

About the role

The Local Event Producer & Promoter position is a freelance, commission-only role available in Spokane, Olympia, Bellingham, Yakima, Waterloo, Eugene, and Bend, Oregon. This role requires a strong understanding of event production and promotion, as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events
• Manage event logistics including venue coordination, vendor selection, and attendee management
• Collaborate with artists and performers to secure their participation in events
• Ensure all events adhere to safety protocols and comply with local regulations
• Prepare and present proposals for potential clients and sponsors
• Build and maintain relationships with key industry contacts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in event production and promotion
• Proven track record of successfully organizing and managing events
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
