Local Driver Delivery (CDL B)
Responsibilities
We are looking for you to contribute to our team by safely transporting, loading, and unloading compressed gas cylinders and hard goods. You will professionally manage customer and associate relations, operate warehouse equipment like forklifts, and strictly adhere to hazardous material safety protocols.
Vehicle Operation: Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders, as well as hard goods, along designated routes.
Customer Service: Collect empty cylinders from customers and address inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction.
Documentation: Record all transactions accurately and obtain necessary customer signatures.
Logistics: Handle the loading and unloading of all materials.
Safety and Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, noting any issues to ensure full safety compliance and maintain the vehicle's condition.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a representative of the company during all deliveries.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid Class B or better CDL.
- Must have HAZMAT endorsement.
- Must have at least 1 year of commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
- Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
- DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
- Able to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
- Able to maintain a drug-free workplace.
- Adhere to safety regulations and policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift Experience.
- Touch freight delivery experience preferred.
