Local Delivery Driver (CDL B)
Responsibilities
Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders, as well as hard goods, along designated routes.
Collect empty cylinders from customers and address inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction.
Record all transactions accurately and obtain necessary customer signatures.
Handle the loading and unloading of all materials.
Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, noting any issues to ensure full safety compliance and maintaining the vehicle's condition.
Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a representative of the company during all deliveries.
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid Class B or better CDL. Must have HAZMAT endorsement. Must have tanker endorsement.
Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
Must have at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
Able to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
Able to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
Able to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Able to adhere to safety regulations and policies.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Forklift Experience.
Touch freight delivery experience.
