Local Delivery Driver (CDL B)
About the role
As a Local Delivery Driver (CDL B), you will deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day. Your responsibilities include handling freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.
- Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
- Complete hazardous material shipping orders in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Identify and report the need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
- Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet business and customer needs.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of Linde’s business operations to support organizational growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, with proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School.
- Valid Class A or B CDL.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Current hazmat endorsement on your CDL or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years.
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
