Local Delivery Driver (CDL B)
About the role
We are hiring a Local Delivery Driver in Syracuse, NY. The role is Monday - Friday, day shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders, as well as hard goods, along designated routes.
- Collect empty cylinders from customers and address inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Record all transactions accurately and obtain necessary customer signatures.
- Handle the loading and unloading of all materials.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, noting any issues to ensure full safety compliance and maintaining the vehicle's condition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a representative of the company during all deliveries.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid Class B or better CDL.
- Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 90 days of being hired.
- Must have at least 1 year of commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
- Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
- DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
- Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.
- Adherence to safety regulations and policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift Experience.
- Touch freight delivery experience.

Hourly pay rate of $29.51. Driver Safety Bonus (Paid Quarterly).
