About the role
Medical Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Elgin, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room under the supervision of an RN or MD.
- Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
- Perform tasks such as preparing operating rooms, assisting with surgical procedures, and monitoring patients’ vital signs.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Experience in the Operating Room setting preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in operating room equipment and procedures.
- Ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks effectively.
