Job Description

RCM Healthcare is seeking a contract Occupational Therapist for a local contract job in Maricopa, Arizona. The position is for 13 weeks, starting ASAP, with 40 hours per week and an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule / Shift: Contract length: School Year, Hours per week: 35-40, Shift details: School Day Schedule
  • Provides educationally and developmentally-based occupational therapy to support students' individual goals and access to the school environment
  • Develops clear and effective therapeutic goals focused on improving student ability to perform daily tasks and achieve greater independence
  • Plans, prepares, or carries out individually designed programs of treatment
  • Provides timely and clear feedback to students based on targeted goals
  • Push-in to facilitate generalization of skills in academic settings
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation regarding student sessions, goals and outcomes
  • Observes impact of treatment at various stages and adjusts care plans to achieve targeted goals
  • Communicates with student families via email, conferences, and progress reports
  • Collaborates with the school team to determine student needs, supports, accommodations and modifications appropriate to students who receive physical therapy
  • Advise student and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home
  • Works collaboratively with faculty and therapy team to ensure support student development
  • Therapists participate as a part of the staff in responsibilities including chaperoning events, lunch duty, and advisory in Upper School
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in a school-based setting
  • Doctorate of Occupational Therapy
  • Valid AZ State OT License
