About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a local contract job in Detroit, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive tracers to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
- Prepare patients for imaging studies, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort.
- Accurately administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients during and after the procedure.
- Document patient information and results accurately in the medical record.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Michigan.
- Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine technologist program.
- Experience in nuclear medicine preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Skills
- Proficiency with nuclear medicine equipment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and protection.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
