Local CDL A Route Driver - $29.37/hr - OT after 40

Local, temp-to-hire CDL Class A truck-driving position delivering automotive parts from Glen Burnie, MD to regional dealerships in an automatic day-cab tractor-trailer.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an automatic Class A day-cab tractor-trailer on dedicated routes.
• Deliver automotive parts to dealerships.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and required DOT documentation.
• Provide professional customer service at each delivery location.
• Follow all DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and work assigned schedules.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience (1 year within the last 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years).
• Valid DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major violations or preventable accidents within the past 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA qualifications.
• Frequently enter and exit the tractor throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Walk, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
• Safely operate commercial vehicles while maintaining constant awareness of surroundings.

Previous route delivery experience is preferred.

Pay

$29.50 per hour with overtime paid after 40 hours worked.

Schedule

• Full-time, 5-day workweek (Monday through Saturday).
• 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM with dispatch times typically between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
• Home daily.
