Loan Support Officer

General Summary

Following established policies and department procedures, support Loan Officers in client service and loan processing. Assist in monitoring and training assistant-level staff.

Essential Functions

• Support the lending team’s client service and loan processing.
• Coincide with internal and external units (e.g., loan documentation department, loan servicing department, title, escrow, borrower, broker) to close commercial loans.
• Provide quality client service and follow up on outstanding reporting items.
• Prepare required disclosure information within designated time frames.
• Ensure compliance with Bank, regulatory and credit requirements with emphasis on quality client service while adhering to given deadlines.
• Aid in nCino inputs for credit loan requests in support of lending team.
• Assist in monitoring loan covenants and insurance requirements.
• Upload loan-related documents to imaging system.
• Prepare periodic reports as needed.

Qualifications

• Educational background: College graduate with a major in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of corporate commercial lending and banking experience with good knowledge of lending regulations, loan funding/closing, and credit/underwriting practices.

Skills/Ability

• PC proficiency.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Good knowledge of Bank’s credit underwriting policies and approval process for assigned loans.
• Ability to manage loan funding/closing and complex loan issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high production environment.
• Strong financial analysis and accounting skills.

Other Details

• Pay: $28.85 – $36.06 / hour, Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
