Loan Operations Specialist

About the role

Whitecap Search is seeking a skilled professional to join their team as a Credit Operations Analyst. This role involves asset servicing, cash and position reconciliations, and daily interactions with various financial institutions and partners.

Primary Job Functions

• Asset servicing including security master maintenance, reviewing credit agreements, monitoring and booking all investment activity, and wire processing, paying and allocating investment related expenses.
• Cash and position reconciliations.
• Daily interaction with custodian banks, trustees, and prime brokers.
• Daily interaction with asset management, borrowers, partners, and outsourced service providers.
• Aid in the yearly audit confirmation process.
• Participate in various projects across the business.
• Provide backup to other Credit Fund Operation staff supporting wire transfers, trade settlements, and other business activities of the fund.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of loan servicing/agency experience a must.
• An understanding of the public loan market, specifically settlement processes for par, distressed, and LMA loans.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with all other MS Office products.
• Ability to work both individually and within a team environment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• A strong understanding of accounting concepts.
• Experience with Wall Street Office is a plus.
