About the role

We're looking for a detail-driven Loan Operations Specialist to support the loan lifecycle—from booking to payoff. This role is ideal for professionals with lending or servicing experience who enjoy working with data, documentation, and processes in a customer-focused organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily loan transactions, including payments, advances, wires, and internal transfers
  • Board new loans and ensure accurate entry of all loan data into the core system
  • Review loan files post-booking to confirm completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain loan documentation through scanning, imaging, and file organization
  • Monitor insurance coverage and escrow accounts for compliance with bank policies
  • Track lien perfection (titles, mortgages, and UCC filings) and follow up as needed
  • Process loan payoffs and prepare required documentation
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries related to loan accounts
  • Complete regulatory and internal reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Support compliance with all applicable federal and state lending regulations
  • Assist with data research, reporting, and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • 2–3 years in loan operations, loan servicing, or lending support
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of loan documentation and servicing processes
  • Familiarity with mortgage lending guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Exposure to insurance tracking and escrow administration is a plus

Work Environment

This position is based in an office setting and involves regular use of computer systems, communication with team members and customers, and management of detailed loan documentation. Occasional lifting of files and extended screen time may be required.
