About the role

The Loan Operations Associate II supports our customers' loan servicing needs and contributes to the development and improvement of all processes, as well as to the objectives of the team and business.

Responsibilities

  • Works effectively with minimal supervision and is a team player
  • Responds to inquiries relating to his or her particular area or to requests from customers and other Bank personnel within given time frames and within established policy
  • Supports other teammates within the team
  • Understands assigned process and procedures as it relates to the job task
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with the Bank’s BSA/AML Policy and Procedures
  • Ensures excellent service is provided to our internal partners and customers
  • Identifies and resolves issues within assigned function
  • Performs all other job duties as assigned
  • Takes accountability for entire process from receipt of work to resolution and closure. Provide recommendations on areas of opportunities
  • Performs intermediate to advanced loan maintenance, code corrections and/or changes, reversals and reapplication of payments
  • Performs manual interest accrual calculations
  • Processes system conversions (i.e.: construction to permanent loan)
  • Participates in the production year-end regulatory tax reporting and corrective reporting
  • Performs loan document quality assurance functions
  • Performs loan boarding quality assurance activities
  • Complies with dual control standards as required
  • Maintains daily production goals and maintains quality
  • Participates on assigned projects
  • Partners with Financial Accounting in the balancing of loan general ledgers accounts daily/monthly; provide support in researching of out-of-balance situations
  • Add escrow records/build escrow screens on loans when appropriate
  • Performs insurance monitoring, tracking, and force placement activities
  • Processes escrow disbursements and analysis according to bank procedures
  • Performs collateral maintenance activities including recordation, filing, releasing, etc.
  • Carries out credit bureau reporting and correction functions
  • Reports and maintains loan document exceptions
  • Supports record extraction or production for audits and examinations
  • Supports the functions outlined in the Loan Operations Associate I role as needed

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of loan products and foundational loan industry experience

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years loan servicing experience or 3 years of operations related experience required. Banking, accounting or finance experience required.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Intermediate experience with MS Office Suite. High level of accuracy and great attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented and quality focused. Flexible, able to adapt to change. Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Able to handle and prioritize multiple assignments. Experience with loan operations processes. Familiar with loan documents.
