About the role

Manages a portfolio of all types of loan and depository accounts. Responsible for prospecting new customers and cross-selling other banking services.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new customers and solicit new loans.
  • Cross-sell other banking services to new and existing customers.
  • Maintain ongoing customer contact to ensure good customer relations.
  • Perform ongoing management of a portfolio of all types of account relationships, including account reviews, problem solving, research, and follow-up on internal account errors.
  • Interview loan applicants, gather and evaluate financial and related data to establish credit worthiness.
  • Monitor customers' financial condition.
  • Review and approve or deny loan requests for new or existing customers up to a pre-determined limit.
  • Prepare action memos for management review and present credits exceeding authority to the loan committee.
  • May serve and vote as a member of the bank loan committee.
  • Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect past-due accounts.
  • May participate in preparation of department budget, goals and objectives, and strategic planning.
  • Participate in civic and community organizations, representing the bank while following personal interests.
  • Attend customer and bank-sponsored events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of agriculture, commercial, and consumer lending procedures.
  • Knowledge of credit structuring.
  • Knowledge of general banking principles.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing practices and principles.
  • Skill in communicating with clients and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Skill in operating computer terminals and printers.
  • Skills in pricing loans.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using available information.
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to function as a team player.

Qualifications

College degree preferred. Three years of lending experience is preferred.

Pay

Salary: $115,000 - $160,000
