Loan Assistant

About the role

As a representative of the bank, this role will be instrumental in helping expand OMB’s brand recognition while increasing our market presence by engaging community members and customers who can benefit from the products and services offered.

Responsibilities

• Cooperatively work with one or two lenders and provide support to other lenders as needed.
• Act as a resource for interested and current borrowers throughout the loan life process, including loan documentation from application to closing.
• Provide ongoing borrower support such as renewals, draws, and payments.
• Work directly with all banking support teams to guarantee customers experience outstanding service.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of the many avenues for commercial loan structuring and funding.
• Identify and cross-sell additional bank products and services that benefit the customer (relationship banking focus).
• Cooperatively support and perform other activities required for the efficient operations of banking centers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3‑5 years of loan and/or loan processing experience.

Skills

• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Strong mathematical, problem‑solving and computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of banking operations, documentation, policy and procedures.
• Effective multi‑tasking and organizational skills.
• Willingness to proactively cross‑sell bank products & services.

Pay

Compensation is a combination of base salary plus incentive that is based on loan production and job performance.

Schedule

Primary Location: 510 W Mt Vernon Blvd, Mt Vernon, MO 65712.
Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday; overtime and weekends based on loan volume.
Fulltime: 40 hours per week average.
