Loader Supervisor
About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Loader Supervisor at their Colonial Heights, VA Service Center. The position manages dock and dispatch operations, coordinates schedules, ensures safety compliance, and implements quality freight handling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Driver and Freight Handler Management
- Coordinate Dock Operations and Driver/Freight Handler Scheduling
- Ensure Safety Compliance
- Ensure Quality Freight Handling Procedures are Followed
- Timely Dispatching of LTL Loads
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
Requirements / Qualifications
- Proven Basic Leadership Experience
- Able to Lead in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Strong Organizational, Communication, and Logistical Skills with Solid Problem-Solving Abilities
- Knowledge of Quality Freight Handling Preferred
- Computer Skills and Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Knowledge of the City and Surrounding Areas
- Prior LTL Leadership Experience Strongly Preferred
