Loader Operator, Amble Rd, Charlotte, NC

Leadpoint Business Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Charlotte, NC to maintain and repair equipment used at a recycling facility during the working shift. The role involves servicing a variety of equipment used in solid waste operations, including large and small trucks, heavy equipment, excavators, and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform services, diagnostics, and part replacement
• Provide own tools
• Maintain accurate records
• Use and learn computer tracking software
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
• Identify problems and develop viable solutions
• Demonstrate knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, and John Deere parts and systems
• Work in a team environment
• Maintain a clean driver’s license

Requirements

• ASE certifications are a plus
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing
• Ability to drive a truck with a manual transmission
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred
• Waste industry experience is a plus
• Completion of college, vocational, or technical training
• Experience with routine maintenance operations is required
• Must be able to lift 50–75 pounds, push, pull, and bend
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• GED or high school diploma required

Pay

$25.00/hour. Overtime and incentive pay may be available.
