Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.

Essential Functions

  • Perform risk assessment of inmates
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals and corrections
  • Discharge planning
  • Aid inmates in planning and implementing treatment goals
  • Aid in planning and implementing goals and objectives of programs and projects
  • Prepare necessary documentation, records, and reports
  • Excellent and timely documentation skills required
  • Make independent clinical decisions, utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide Mental Health treatment, and hold any of the following licenses: LLCP, LCP, or equivalent
  • Graduation from a Master’s level program
  • Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent
  • Satisfactory background investigation report
