Responsibilities
- Handles requests for balance information, transfers, deposits, loan payments, account research, product information, and member service on deposit and loan accounts.
- Expands members’ relationships with the Credit Union through member education and product/service solutions tailored to each member’s needs.
- Assists members via LTC machines located at various branches, balancing daily transactions, verifying cash totals, and resolving discrepancies.
- Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions, restricts electronic account access as necessary, and resolves member issues or complaints.
- Employs decision-making skills, balances member and organizational interests, and represents the Credit Union professionally.
- Strives to streamline work processes and continuously improve the Credit Union.
Qualifications
- 1 year of banking experience as a teller or call center service representative.
- Comprehensive knowledge of deposit account products and services, and working knowledge of relevant regulations.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy, and the ability to respond to member prompts and offer tailored financial products and services.
- Professional and courteous verbal and written communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and willingness to take initiative.
- Proficiency in standard business computer software, data entry, ten-key calculator, cash counting, and math skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to handle confidential member account information, and adaptable to fluctuating work demands.
- Ability to discuss remote delivery channels with members and become a subject matter expert in these areas.
