Live Events Associate, DOWT

About the role

The Live Events Associate will join a team to manage the Day Out With Thomas touring program, traveling to events across the US and Canada. You will act as the main point of contact for host railroads, overseeing site planning, marketing, and retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage site planning, marketing initiatives, and entertainment for 25+ events per year.
• Travel to approximately 15 events annually to oversee setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Ensure all event assets and merchandise are set up correctly and the Thomas replica is well-maintained.
• Create wrap reports, track ticket sales, and recommend event improvements.
• Collaborate with internal partners and railroad stakeholders to maximize event experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in live events or ticketed touring shows.
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to travel approximately 70% of the time and lift up to 30lbs.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.

Schedule
