(Live -3rd Shift)

About the Role

Perform a variety of duties related to the processing of poultry, including working with live chicken or raw chicken. Tasks include handling and processing chicken products, deboning, cutting, packing, weighing, moving, inspecting, and other duties as assigned by supervision.

Responsibilities

• Pick up live birds by hand from the incoming MODs (trays).
• Hang birds by both feet on hooks.
• Identify and disposition any birds that do not meet standard.
• Work in assigned department, with periodic changes based on production and staffing needs.
• Perform duties in other departments and positions as needed and assigned.
• Work in a variety of conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and noisy environments.
• Operate around industrial equipment.
• Stand for several hours, lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, and hands.

Requirements

• Previous poultry production experience or experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish, such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete checklists.
