Employment Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt | 20 hours per week (schedule to be determined by Pastor)
About the Role
The Liturgy & Ministry Coordinator plans, organizes, and executes liturgical celebrations, coordinates liturgical ministers, and facilitates the efficient operation of events for all parish ministries. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Liturgy
- Prepare mass intention lists for all masses.
- Prepare Order of Worship Aids as needed.
- Prepare liturgies for special liturgical events.
- Prepare weekly binders for daily and weekend Masses for clergy and commentators, including Prayers of the Faithful and pulpit announcements.
- Perform other assigned duties by the Pastor or Office Manager.
Ministry
- Serve as a liaison between the pastor and the ministries.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments with different ministries.
- Assist with administrative inquiries related to ministries.
- Attend ministry meetings as needed.
- Responsible for scheduling the Parish Life Calendar.
- Coordinate the annual Ministry Fair.
- Maintain filing systems as assigned.
- Keep accurate records and report back to Pastor and Office Manager.
- Retrieve information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepare written summaries of data when needed.
- Collaborate with leadership to respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions.
- Adhere to safety training and protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
- Protect the confidentiality of any information or material.
- Adhere to the Archdiocesan Code of Conduct and the Faith and Morals policy of the Catholic faith.
- Take a solution-oriented approach in interactions and undertakings, promoting collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
- Serve as a backup for front office duties as needed.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Perform other assigned duties by the Pastor or Office Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
- At least four (4) years of experience in an administrative role providing direct support.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and valid vehicle insurance.
Skills
- Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work well independently and on a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
