Litigation Paralegal (Mass Torts)

A national and highly respected Mesothelioma/Asbestos law firm in Culver City is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team on a temp-to-hire basis. The firm is looking for a professional with strong litigation support experience who can immediately contribute to case management, discovery, and trial preparation. Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage discovery, including: Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Admission (RFAs), Requests for Production (RFPs)
• Utilize and customize discovery templates and shells as needed
• E-file documents in both California state and federal courts
• Maintain and monitor litigation calendars and critical deadlines
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case organization
• Support all phases of litigation from discovery through trial

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
• Experience drafting and responding to discovery (templates provided)
• Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures in state and federal courts
• Experience with calendaring litigation deadlines
• Trial preparation experience
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Preferred: Asbestos, toxic tort, personal injury, or mass tort litigation experience
• Preferred: Paralegal certificate is not required
• Top requirements: 3-5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, experience preparing discovery shells (templates provided), e-filing and calendaring expertise, trial preparation experience
