Litigation Paralegal (Commercial Construction)

Location: Austin, TX Position Type: Direct Hire Salary: $90,000–$95,000 annually + year-end bonus Scheduled: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (Hybrid; 2 days WFH) Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401K. Position Overview Our client, a well-established law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Trial Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex Commercial Litigation and Construction Litigation matters. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented legal professional with strong trial preparation experience who can work independently, anticipate attorney needs, and manage cases from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will have experience in both Commercial Litigation and Construction Litigation and be comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment with limited supervision. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys, contribute to significant litigation matters, and support trials throughout the year. Key Responsibilities Support Commercial Litigation and Construction Litigation matters from inception through trial.Draft, prepare, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other legal documents.Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness materials, and coordinating deposition, mediation, and hearing materials.Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, docketing, and case files to ensure all deadlines are met.Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court personnel throughout the litigation process.Maintain accurate case records and documentation using Filevine.Track attorney time and assist with timekeeping using LMS.Anticipate attorney needs, proactively manage competing priorities, and ensure cases remain organized and trial-ready.Travel approximately 5–6 times per year to support trials. Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.Required experience in both Commercial Litigation and Construction Litigation.Strong trial litigation experience, including trial preparation and supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process.Experience with Texas court filings, discovery, docket management, and litigation deadlines.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Professional communication skills and the ability to anticipate attorney needs in a fast-paced environment.
