Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Whitecap Search is seeking a skilled litigation paralegal for a temp-to-perm position at a busy law firm in Bergen County, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, with additional experience in family law being a plus. This role involves supporting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, conducting research, managing case files, and providing various administrative support tasks.ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys with all aspects of litigation from case inception through trialDraft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and correspondenceManage case files, calendars, deadlines, and court schedulingCoordinate and prepare discovery materials, document productions, and exhibitsConduct legal and factual researchCommunicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendorsPrepare deposition summaries and trial notebooksAssist with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, and arbitrationsMaintain billing time entries and provide administrative litigation supportRequirementsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree preferredParalegal certificate preferred3 years of litigation experience preferredStrong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and filing systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal management softwareExcellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExperience with document management and e-filing systems requiredHybrid/remote flexibility based on business needsFast-paced, collaborative legal environment Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
