About the role
Vinson & Elkins LLP is currently searching for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide support to the Business & Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property practice areas in our San Francisco office.
The individual should be highly organized, team-oriented, and extremely detail-oriented as well as someone who is a self-starter and able to work with multiple attorneys to deliver the highest caliber of legal representation to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Supports attorneys in managing litigation matters, including document review, case preparation, and trial support.
- Coordinates with clients and opposing counsel to ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Prepares and organizes documents, files, and other materials necessary for legal proceedings.
- Assists in conducting research and preparing legal memoranda and briefs.
- Manages calendars, schedules, and deadlines for multiple cases.
- Ensures compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (legal studies, paralegal studies, etc.)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a legal setting, preferably in litigation support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience with legal research tools and databases.
- Knowledge of e-discovery processes and software.
- Experience with legal document management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
