Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all stages of complex litigation, including case organization, document management, and trial preparation
- Manage large-scale document productions, including e-discovery, database maintenance, and coordination with vendors
- Prepare, cite-check, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documents
- Draft and manage subpoenas, medical record authorizations, and summaries of medical records and depositions
- Absorb and coordinate filings in state and federal courts, including electronic filing systems
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, co-counsel, and opposing counsel to support ongoing case activity
Key Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in health care, pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences litigation
- Candidates must possess either an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or a bachelor’s degree (or higher) with at least one year of law-related experience under the supervision of an experienced California attorney
- Strong knowledge of litigation case management, discovery processes, and court filing procedures
- Experience with e-discovery platforms and litigation support software strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and large case files in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with direct client and expert interaction
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule from our Los Angeles office
