Responsibilities
- Draft motions, petitions, and other documents for filing with a Board, through the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), or with the State Court in North Carolina.
- Electronically file documents through the Office of Administrative Hearings website (OAH) as well as through the NC State Court.
- Create timeline of events for cases. This is probably THE most important thing to be done in all cases.
- Create trial/hearing binders. Critical for litigation.
- Research for cases. This is critically important and will be a focus of this position.
Qualifications
- Paralegal Certification in North Carolina.
- This position requires at least three (3) years of experience as an NC-Certified Paralegal.
