Litigation Paralegal

Kennedys, a global law firm with offices throughout the US, seeks a full-time Paralegal with solid insurance litigation experience to join our team in our Los Angeles Office. This is a really exciting opportunity for an ambitious paralegal to join a growing, global law firm. Key Responsibilities Draft pleadings and motions, including all trial and pretrial filings, for state and federal courtsDraft discovery responses, including production of documentsSubpoena documents (including medical records) from third partiesReview and summarize answers to discoveryReview and summarize documents, including medical recordsDraft medical chronologiesOrganize documents productionsPrepare exhibits for motions, depositions and trialsCoordinate expert appointments and assignmentsResearch (Westlaw) and other online sourcesPerform jury verdict searchesElectronic filing Required Skills And Experience An inquisitive mind, excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExceptional interpersonal and communications skillsA thorough working knowledge of the Federal and California court systems3-5+ years of litigation and insurance coverage experienceProficiency in the Microsoft Office SuiteParalegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred or relevant years of experience. The annualized salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. However, this is contingent upon level of experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
