Litigation Paralegal

About the role

Kennedys, a global law firm with offices throughout the US, seeks a full-time paralegal with three (3) or more years of experience in Pennsylvania Defense Litigation for our Philadelphia Office. New Jersey experience is a plus. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Paralegal to join a growing, global firm.

Responsibilities

• Ability to review medical records and add relevant dates/information to the medical chronology
• Prepare discovery motions (Motions to Extend Discovery, Motion to Compel Discovery, and Motion to Enforce Subpoena)
• Experience reviewing Plaintiff's Answers to Interrogatories
• Schedule and coordinate IME's for plaintiff
• Research (Westlaw preferred) and other online sources
• Assist in retention of experts
• Prepare HIPPA Authorization Forms for Plaintiff's execution and return
• Retrieval of medical records from providers
• Follow-up with providers to ensure receipt of records of HIPPA request
• Perform Jury Verdict Searches using Westlaw
• Preparation of privilege logs
• Production of documents

Requirements

Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in Defense Litigation.

Ability to work from home with flexibility when needed in the office.
