Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of document production, including collection, organization, review, Bates labeling, privilege logs, and production of hard copy and electronic documents.
  • Convert and prepare electronic files for production, including emails, photographs, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents.
  • Conduct factual and legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other online research platforms.
  • Prepare timelines, charts, summaries, and case analyses to support litigation strategy.
  • Cook up and prepare electronic files for production, including emails, photographs, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents.
  • Coordinate the preparation, cite-checking, proofreading, Bluebook formatting, filing, and service of pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, expert witnesses, consultants, opposing counsel, court personnel, and government agencies.
  • Cook up and prepare electronic files for production, including emails, photographs, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents.
  • Coordinate witness and expert preparation, organize deposition materials, prepare witness files, and assist attorneys with deposition outlines.
  • Manage deposition logistics, including videography, remote technology, electronic transcripts, and synchronization of testimony.
  • Prepare and edit video deposition clips for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
  • Aid in the development of PowerPoint presentations and trial demonstratives in collaboration with attorneys.
  • Cook up and prepare electronic files for production, including emails, photographs, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents.

  • Coordinate vendors, court reporters, graphics providers, trial support teams, hotels, and other litigation resources.
  • Serve as the trial technology specialist by presenting electronic evidence and coordinating courtroom technology, remote trial presentations, and audiovisual equipment.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of litigation paralegal experience required.
  • Construction litigation experience is a plus.
  • Proven trial preparation and onsite trial support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures.
  • Experience with PACER, Texas eFiling, Simplifile, and electronic filing systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat/Power PDF, and document management systems such as NetDocuments and ShareFile.
  • Experience with litigation support and eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Lexbe, TrialDirector, Summation, or similar software.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with exceptional attention to detail.

Pay

Starting Salary: $90,000+, depending on experience
