Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and format litigation documents, including pleadings, subpoenas, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Aid in document management and production, including indexing, summarizing, and organizing records and electronically stored information.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials by organizing exhibits, witness files, and case materials.
- Maintain and update electronic and physical case files with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support attorneys in trial preparation, including creating exhibit lists, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
- Conduct targeted legal research and compile supporting information for litigation matters.
- Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings across state and federal courts.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and e-filing requirements.
- NetDocs (document management system) experience a plus.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation or case management software.
