Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings)
• Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case
• Aid attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas
• Aid with document review and analysis
• Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate
• Prepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing exhibits)
• Gather and analyze complex medical records needed to prepare medical chronology

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Litigation experience required
• Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries
