Litigation Paralegal
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings)
- Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case
- Aid attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas
- Aid with document review and analysis
- Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate
- Prepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing exhibits)
- Gather and analyze complex medical records needed to prepare medical chronology
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Litigation experience required
- Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries
