Litigation Paralegal

About the role

Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, a national law firm with a preeminent trial practice, has an immediate opening for an entry-level litigation paralegal in our New York City office to assist our anti-counterfeiting team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting attorneys with the handling of cases during all phases of litigation
• General case management, including case calendaring and managing deadlines, and managing case documents
• Drafting and managing court filings, including cite and fact-checking legal briefs, confirming proper Bluebook or CSM citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices
• Aiding with discovery, including with document collections, document reviews, and document productions
• Conducting factual and legal research
• Preparing for depositions, hearings and trials

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required
• 1-2 years of litigation or Intellectual Property paralegal experience and/or a paralegal certificate are a plus
• The candidate ideally has working knowledge of the New York City and Federal court rules and procedures, as well as trial and/or electronic discovery experience
• The candidate must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet business needs
