Litigation Secretary Key Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and finalize a broad range of litigation documents, including pleadings, documents, discovery responses and agreements
- Manage state and federal e-filings, ensuring strict compliance with court rules, procedures, and filing deadlines
- Provide comprehensive litigation support, including case management, file organization, and discovery tracking
- Act as a professional liaison with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings, and track all litigation deadlines
- Prepare and process billing entries and expense reports with accuracy
- Proactively monitor and follow up on critical deadlines to ensure timely completion of all tasks
Requirements
A solid background in civil litigation
Detail-oriented professional
Experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (optional)
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a litigation secretary or paralegal
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures
