About the role
We are looking for a Litigation Counsel with 8-12 years of commercial litigation experience to join a busy and growing Seattle office handling insurance bad faith and coverage work. The team is seeing a significant influx of insurance-related matters, making this an excellent opportunity to step into a high-volume practice with no shortage of meaningful work.
Responsibilities
- Independently managing commercial litigation cases from start to finish with minimal oversight
- Handling insurance bad faith and coverage litigation matters for a large client base
- Taking depositions, arguing motions, and leading cases as first-chair
- Practicing in federal and state courts across Washington (and ideally Oregon, Idaho, or Alaska)
- Working directly with clients in a hands-on, client-facing capacity
Requirements
- 8-12 years of commercial litigation experience
- Insurance bad faith and coverage litigation background
- Licensed to practice in Washington State (additional bar in Oregon, Idaho, or Alaska strongly preferred)
- Ability to independently run cases end-to-end without oversight
- Strong academic record (minimum 3.0 law school GPA) and excellent research/writing skills
Pay and Location
The salary range for this position is $235K - $270K, and it is based in Seattle, WA, with a hybrid work policy requiring 3+ days in-office.
