About the role
A growing litigation practice is looking for an experienced attorney to join their team. This remote position focuses primarily on defending general liability and motor vehicle related claims for a diverse client base. The attorney will independently manage matters through each stage of litigation while collaborating with experienced lawyers and professional support staff. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys meaningful case ownership, direct client contact, and an active courtroom practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of civil defense matters from assignment through resolution.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery materials, legal memoranda, and client reports.
- Evaluate case exposure and develop litigation strategies.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Represent clients at court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and motion arguments.
Requirements
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania, with current good standing.
- 5+ years of civil litigation defense experience.
- Experience with general liability, automobile claims, or premises liability is preferred.
- Ability to manage cases and litigation deadlines independently.
- Experience handling depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, or comparable proceedings.
