About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Litigation Attorney to join its team. This full-time position focuses on advocating for children suspected of having disabilities, as well as those already identified as having disabilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and applicable Florida laws. The attorney will represent both community families and children involved in the foster care system, helping ensure they receive the educational services, accommodations, and support they are entitled to under the law.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for children suspected of having disabilities and those already identified as having disabilities under IDEA and Florida law.
• Represent community families and children in the foster care system.
• Ensure clients receive the educational services, accommodations, and support they are entitled to under the law.

Requirements

• Litigation experience.
• Background in children's law, education, psychology, the medical field, or related disciplines.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the Florida Bar.
