Litigation Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage direct client contact and provide legal counsel on civil rights, personal injury, employment, and eminent domain cases
• Draft and file written motions, including motions to compel summary judgment
• Respond to discovery requests and prepare for trials
• Take and defend depositions as part of case preparation

Requirements

• 5 - 14 years of civil litigation experience, with flexibility on years if strong
• Written 10-20 motions (motion for summary judgment)
• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Experience in personal injury, civil rights, employment law, insurance defense, tort liability, or wrongful death
• Proficient in drafting written motions and responding to discovery
• Must be barred in California
• Able to meet the billable hours requirement of 1850 per year
• Experience in taking and defending depositions preferred
• Trial experience is a plus
• Experience representing public entities is a plus

Pay

Salary Range: $120,000 - $210,000 / Year DOE
