About the role

A growing Am Law 200 law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2+ years of litigation experience to join its Southern California litigation practice. This opportunity is available in Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco and offers a hybrid flexible schedule. Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related filings.
  • Conduct and defend depositions and assist with trial preparation.
  • Handle motion practice, court appearances, and settlement negotiations.
  • Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national platform.
  • Utilize e-discovery tools and technology to efficiently manage litigation matters.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Active California Bar admission required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
  • Trial preparation, deposition, and courtroom experience preferred.
  • Experience with e-discovery software.
  • Strong advocacy, legal writing, research, and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities.
