Responsibilities
- Manage a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
- Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Handle legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
- Maintain accurate case files and meet litigation deadlines.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to the New York State Bar (required).
- 3-6 years of civil litigation experience in New York.
- Experience handling: General Liability, Product Liability, Insurance Coverage.
- Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
- Deposition and motion practice experience preferred.
- Ability to independently manage multiple litigation matters.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $125,000-$175,000 DOE.
