Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

• Manage a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Handle legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
• Maintain accurate case files and meet litigation deadlines.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar (required).
• 3-6 years of civil litigation experience in New York.
• Experience handling: General Liability, Product Liability, Insurance Coverage.
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Deposition and motion practice experience preferred.
• Ability to independently manage multiple litigation matters.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $125,000-$175,000 DOE.
