Litigation Associate

About the role

The Cleveland office of Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate with general commercial litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings and motions
• Legal research
• Arguing hearings
• Managing discovery requests and responses
• Taking and defending depositions
• Aiding with trial preparations and trial

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or judicial clerkship
• Admission to the Ohio Bar
• Possess a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record
• Excellent credentials
• Legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, coordinating with local counsel, and generally defending against litigation
• Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills
• Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required
