Litigation Associate

About the role

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking to build a sophisticated employment litigation practice. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of employment law matters, gain significant client exposure, and collaborate with an established labor and employment team handling complex workplace disputes and counseling matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a variety of employment litigation matters
• Handle all phases of litigation, including:
  • Case assessment and strategy
  • Discovery
  • Depositions
  • Motion practice
  • Mediation and settlement negotiations
  • Trial preparation
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
• Conduct legal research and provide practical legal analysis
• Advise clients regarding employment law compliance and risk management issues
• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy and workforce-related matters
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
• 3–5 years of employment litigation experience
• Experience handling a broad range of labor and employment matters
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Outstanding academic and professional credentials

Preferred Qualifications

• Traditional labor law experience
• Experience advising employers on workplace compliance and labor relations matters

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $260,000 – $350,000 annually
