About the Role
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Labor, Employment & Immigration practice. This role offers the opportunity to advise employers on traditional labor matters and labor-management relations, working closely with a collaborative team on sophisticated labor issues while gaining significant client exposure and hands-on responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Advise and represent employers in a broad range of traditional labor matters, including:
- Union organizing campaigns
- Collective bargaining negotiations
- Grievance and arbitration proceedings
- Unfair labor practice charges
- Labor-management disputes
- Represent and assist clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, briefs, and other advocacy materials.
- Counsel clients on labor relations, workplace compliance, and employment-related issues.
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex workplace matters.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through practical, business-focused legal advice.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, client alerts, presentations, and thought leadership efforts.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law firm.
- Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility for admission.
- 4-6 years of labor and employment experience.
- Experience representing employers in traditional labor matters.
- Prior experience handling matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting.

Pay
Salary ranges by location:
- Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco: $225,000 - $330,000
- Portland: $215,000 - $315,000
- Anchorage: $158,000 - $258,000
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
