About the Role

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Labor, Employment & Immigration practice. This role offers the opportunity to advise employers on traditional labor matters and labor-management relations, working closely with a collaborative team on sophisticated labor issues while gaining significant client exposure and hands-on responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and represent employers in a broad range of traditional labor matters, including:
    • Union organizing campaigns
    • Collective bargaining negotiations
    • Grievance and arbitration proceedings
    • Unfair labor practice charges
    • Labor-management disputes
  • Represent and assist clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, briefs, and other advocacy materials.
  • Counsel clients on labor relations, workplace compliance, and employment-related issues.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex workplace matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through practical, business-focused legal advice.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, client alerts, presentations, and thought leadership efforts.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law firm.
  • Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility for admission.
  • 4-6 years of labor and employment experience.
  • Experience representing employers in traditional labor matters.
  • Prior experience handling matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting.

Pay

Salary ranges by location:

  • Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco: $225,000 - $330,000
  • Portland: $215,000 - $315,000
  • Anchorage: $158,000 - $258,000

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
